Why contamination matters
Carbon-steel particles embedded in stainless cause rust bloom within days. Use dedicated stainless-only abrasives.
Grit progression
Step through 60 → 120 → 240 grit for blending; finish with Scotch-Brite for a uniform satin.
Tooling tips
Use low RPM to avoid heat tinting, and let the abrasive do the work — pressure reduces life and finish quality.
